Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Follows directions of classroom teacher in specific ways to support newcomer English Language learner (ELLs) students 

• Maintains confidentiality of student(s) by directing parents to speak with classroom teacher 

• Assist/supervise all activities as instructed by the teacher 

• Support ELLs in navigating general education classes 

• Assist in the preparation of instructional materials 

• Coordinate with classroom teacher to determine daily tasks 

• Assist students by providing proper examples when necessary 

• Possesses a friendly, patient attitude 

• Bilingual; proficient in English and Spanish 

• Other responsibilities as delineated by immediate supervisor 

Reports to Director of Bilingual Programs and Building Principal

Salary:  $19.73 per hour

              $21.34 per hour with verification of 60 college credits (official transcript is required)

 

Shift Time: 7:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.
