JOB SUMMARY:
Patchogue-Medford High School is seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated leader to serve as the Varsity Football Head Coach. This individual will be responsible for fostering a positive and competitive environment that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and student-athlete development. The Head Coach will oversee all aspects of the football program, including planning, organizing, and executing practices, games, and team events while aligning with the district's mission and athletic goals. A key focus will be on restoring the proud tradition of Patchogue-Medford football, inspiring a culture of excellence both on and off the field.
PROGRAM LEADERSHIP:
Plan, organize, and lead all practices, games, and team events, ensuring compliance with district, league, and NYSPHSAA regulations.
- Player Development: Develop student-athletes both athletically and personally, emphasizing academic achievement, teamwork, and character.
- Staff Supervision: Recruit, mentor, and guide assistant coaches to ensure alignment with the program's goals and values.
- Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and the community.
- Program Management: Manage the football program budget, equipment inventory, and scheduling in coordination with the Athletic Director.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure a safe playing environment and uphold all health and safety standards, including concussion protocols and athletic trainer recommendations.
- Community Engagement: Foster a strong connection between the football program, school, and local community, promoting support and involvement.
