Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:                         

• Support/training for teachers, related service providers, support staff in data collection and implementation of behavior management strategies
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and create Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Progress monitoring and reporting of Behavior Intervention Plans and Support Plans
• Setting up ABA programs to include discreet trials, verbal behavior programming and ABA techniques
• Crisis response and staff training
• Parent training
• Conducting/facilitating team meetings
• Participation at CSE meetings to report on data collection, progress toward goals

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Must hold New York State Special Education Certification, School Counseling, School Social Worker, or School Psychologist Certification
• Must hold or be working towards BCBA certification 

 

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:        

• Bilingual preferred
• NYS Special Education certification preferred

 

EXPERIENCE:               

Working in a school setting with students on the autism spectrum and/or students with behavioral challenges

 

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:       BCBA/Behavior Therapist experience
