Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct auditions and select student members for the ensemble.
• Lead rehearsals with a focus on vocal jazz/show choir style, ensemble blend, and performance quality.
• Prepare students for a polished performance at Vocal Night.
• Collaborate with the school’s music faculty to ensure a high-quality student experience.

 

POSITION DETAILS:

• Rehearsals: 15 total rehearsals (scheduled in the evenings at Saxton Middle School), coordinated with the Director’s availability and school calendar.
• Performance: Annual Vocal Night – March 10

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:      

• Strong background in vocal jazz, show choir, or related choral genres.
• Experience directing middle or high school level vocal ensembles preferred.
• Excellent musicianship, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate young singers.
