QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Must be CPR/AED Certified
Provides basic health care and first aid to students that are ill, medically fragile and/or injured
Provides treatment, documents injuries and maintains medical records
Provides on-going communication with parents regarding injuries, medications, immunizations, allergies, etc.
Administers daily medications
Maintain up to date student records on all students (i.e., physicals and immunizations)
Follows NYS guidelines for immunization compliance
Follows NYS Guidelines for vision, hearing, scoliosis screenings and physicals
Gathers data and reports findings on NYS immunization and BMI surveys
Responds to all medical emergencies within the building
Participates in 504 meetings
Must have basic computer skills to document records and maintain communication logs
May attend field trips when medically required
Prior pediatric and/or school experience preferred
