Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:                         

• Support/training for teachers, related service providers, support staff in data collection and implementation of behavior management strategies
• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and create Behavior Intervention Plans and/or positive behavior support plans
• Progress monitoring of behavior intervention plans
• Crisis response and staff training
• Parent training
• Conducting/facilitating team meetings
• Participation at CSE meetings to report on data collection, progress toward goals

Job Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Must hold New York State Special Education Certification, School Counseling, School Social Worker, or School Psychologist Certification
• Must hold BCBA certification 

 

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:         Bilingual preferred

 

EXPERIENCE:               

Working in a school setting with students on the autism spectrum and/or students with behavioral challenges

 

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:       BCBA experience required
