Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide ENL instruction to English Language Learners (ELLs) in push-in and/or pull-out settings
• Deliver standards-based ELA lessons aligned with New York State learning standards to support literacy development
• Differentiate instruction based on students’ language proficiency and individual learning needs
• Support language acquisition and literacy development, including vocabulary, pronunciation, and academic writing
• Assess and monitor student progress using formative and summative assessments, including preparation for NYS assessments
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, interventionists, and support staff to support multilingual learners
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and learning goals
• Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives

Job Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:          

• Must possess New York State TESOL and English Language Arts (ELA)
  • Must possess both certifications to be eligible.
