Full-Time Maintenance Mechanic III
HVAC/Refrigeration

Hours:       6:00am to 2:30pm (Hours subject to change to accommodate maintenance projects).            
Preferred: HVAC/Refrigeration Experience

 Duties:

• Proficient in HVAC and Refrigeration systems. 
• Responsible for routine installation, servicing and maintenance of all systems inclusive of boilers, climate-controlled unit ventilators, heating and ventilation, motors, pumps. Is able to inspect and adjust temperature control devices. 
• Responsible for service and repair of refrigeration units including, but not limited to, air conditioners, RTU’s (Roof Top Units), split-systems (capable of heating and cooling) condensers and compressors. 
• Must be able to work independently and compete projects to completion.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, understand building specifications and building floor plans. Must have the ability to follow written and oral directions. 
• Must have effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the building staff, maintenance staff, colleagues and district employees. 
• Works under the direction of the Facilities Director and/or the Maintenance Supervisor. 

Necessary Requirement:

Depending on the nature of the assignment, at the time of appointment and during employment in this title, the candidate may be required to possess a valid New York State driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle to be operated.
