Hours:  8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Salary:  $49,738/$51,233 with BS Degree

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  

• Must be CPR/AED Certified 

• Provides basic health care and first aid to students that are ill, medically fragile and/or injured 

• Provides treatment, documents injuries and maintains medical records 

• Provides on-going communication with parents regarding injuries, medications, immunizations, allergies, etc. 

• Administers daily medications 

• Maintain up to date student records on all students (i.e., physicals and immunizations) 

• Follows NYS guidelines for immunization compliance 

• Follows NYS Guidelines for vision, hearing, scoliosis screenings and physicals 

• Gathers data and reports findings on NYS immunization and BMI surveys 

• Responds to all medical emergencies within the building 

• Participates in 504 meetings 

• Must have basic computer skills to document records and maintain communication logs 

• May attend field trips when medically required 

• Prior pediatric and/or school experience preferred 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide instruction to individual and small groups of students.
• Assist students in the use of instructional materials and aids.
• Assist students with activities of personal care/hygiene/toileting as applicable.
• Utilize personal skills to assist in the instructional program as directed by the teacher.
• Provide the teacher with information about the students that will assist in the development of appropriate learning activities.
• Implementation of behavior modification and other data collection.
